PSYCHIC MEDIUMS

Psychic mediums refer to those people who possess the spiritual authority to communicate with the spirit world. A Medium has the ability to transcend unseen spiritual boundaries and communicate with the departed souls that reside in the spiritual world. They cash upon this ability by helping people ‘talk’ to their loved ones who have passed the physical world and moved onto the spiritual one by way of death.

Spiritual mediums mostly carry out experiments to prove to the world the existence of an afterlife. Psychic mediums if manage to establish the connection between the two worlds help relieve the pain of the grieved ones and help them come to terms with the fact that their loved ones are safe somewhere, and well, though dead.

Mediums connect with Spirits in two ways – physically and mentally. Any person who is consulting the Medium may be able to witness the Spirit’s workings by way of audible voices, raps, etc that are conveyed through the Medium. The Spirits may also divulge intimate details via a Medium. This is the physical way. Owing to their nature, they are conducted privately.

In some cases a Medium is able to see, hear or sense a Spirit through the mind. This is the mental way. Trance mediums fall into this category. Trance mediums go public. Here a Spirit takes ‘possession’ of the Medium’s body and communicates with the intended person. The Medium’s body goes still and the voice is usually shrill, unlike the original voice of the Medium.

Mediums largely claim that their gift is genetic and inherent. A medium may have a lineage of mediums; this gift may also skip a few generations. A person with psychic powers may not understand its implications at a young age. It takes time and experience for a Medium to master the ability and control it.

Psychic mediums don’t just help distressed people connect with Spirits but they also counsel, educate, and assist people. For example they may be able to identify the whereabouts of missing people; they also carry out exorcisms.
